The Project
Sicuro Technology was approached by a client to enhance the security of a life support compound. The facility was located in Beira, Iraq and required an improved security solution to monitor and protect the perimeter.
The client was looking for a scalable security solution for an external perimeter CCTV system and access control modification – to detect and deter external threat and intruder detection.

The client entrusted Sicuro Technology to provide the management, design, procurement, installation and handover training of all major components for this project within 90 days.
Main Challenges
The client’s compound is situated in a remote deserted area outside of Basra city, with an outside perimeter of approximately 420×520 meters.
The location and size of the client’s compound posed the operational and logistical challenge of getting the equipment, resources and our engineering team to and from the remote location. There was also the added complication of working in extreme temperatures under strict client HSE guidelines.
Main Challenges
We provided the installation and configuration of 74 bullet cameras and 5 PTZ cameras, connected via a fiber optic-based network that feeds into the security monitoring center.
The security monitoring center now records and monitors both network and video feeds for the early detection of external threats and intrusions.
Sicuro provided a fully secured system with redundancies put in place ensuring system operational continuity.
Although there were some variations introduced by the client throughout the project, Sicuro Technolgy remained flexible to successfully deliver all project phases on schedule and on budget, while adhering to the client’s stringent health and safety guidelines.
